76) THE ARK IN SPACE

Production Errors

  1. Before the Royal Hope Hospital disappears, the sound and shaking can be heard before the Hospital disappears

  2. Whilst making a decision as to whether turn left and right, it is clearly raining on the car. However, when the camera cuts to exterior shots of the car, it is clearly not raining outside

  3. When Donna argues with her boss, an explosion is heard and everybody in view, can be seen getting up. However in the next camera view, everyone is sitting down and gets up again

  4. Despite the fact that the Adipose Invasion moved to America in the alternative timeline, the news report shows archive footage from Partners in Crime where the Adipose Invasion took place in the UK

Working Titles

  • Companion Alone

Verdict

An original idea helped along by another brilliant script from the equal brilliant Davies. Full of past refences and episodes used in devasting ways, a darker version of Donna and an ending which just explodes off the screen. Never before has Doctor Who done an alternative history narrative and what is seen is a brilliant episode full of shocks and even joys which mix remarkable well. *****
